We are a busy entrepreneurial couple 👫 that need someone to keep everything clean and tidy and to make sure we eat something other than pizza and fast food. Ideally, you will live locally (Wantage / Faringdon, Oxfordshire) and be able to pop by for a few hours every day to tidy the house, do the laundry, make sure we've got some good home cooked food and just generally take care of us so we can take care of our businesses, clients and animals. BONUS: we will soon be fully up and running on the farm 🚜 so you will get to see cute cuddly alpacas 🦙 and bunnies 🐇🐇 daily. Salary & hours negotiable - we are flexible around your life as well!
We currently live in a small 2 bedroom bungalow near Wantage, Oxfordshire. Our house is overstuffed and overcrowded and we need help just keeping the clutter under control along with the day to day household chores (laundry, washing-up, cleaning, etc).
We will soon be moving to a lovely 3 bedroom cabin on our new farm a bit closer to Faringdon, Oxfordshire. The house will be a bit bigger so it should be easier to find a home for all of our kit (mostly it's the office and business clutter that takes over).
We love to eat healthy but just don't have the time to cook. Low Carb, High Fat, Paleo, Gluten-Free, Dairy Free are all part of our dream world! Right now it feels like mostly pizza and fast food...which we want to eliminate. So you will be cooking for us to make sure we stay at peak health. We love simple meals with fresh organic food. You will create the menu plans, do the shopping and make the food (you are welcome to make the food in your own home and bring it to ours).
I envision this being 4-6 hours at our home per week cleaning and making sure things are tidy (this will be ideally be 3-4 days a week) and then another 4-6 hours cooking and doing the food shopping per week.

We are pretty laid back but we do like things to be done properly. I hate having to confront people about a job not done properly so I really need someone that will use their initiative and get stuff done, that will check over their work and make sure all the nooks and crannies are clean and tidy and that will ask questions when they aren't sure of things. I love when you ask questions to make sure you've done what I want - I hate having to chase you and tell you that you did something wrong.

- Laundry (washing, drying, some ironing, folding and putting away Marie Kondo style)
- Washing dishes (new house will have a dishwasher, until then it's by hand)
- Cleaning using all natural cleaning products (hoover, dusting, mopping, bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms)
- Helping to keep the clutter down and put things away (think of us like small children that hate putting our toys away and making our bed)
- Taking out the rubbish
- Preparing food for lunch and dinners for 2 people.
- We eat pretty simply. My husband usually doesn't even eat lunch. Lentil soups and Dahls are his favourite. I need gluten and dairy free. We do want it to be organic (as much as possible) and using natural ingredients and no vegetable oils (coconut, olive oil and ghee only).
- Can be prepared in your own home or ours.
- Other things may be added to the list that I haven't even though of now. Basically you will be our part-time mom making sure we are clean and fed! Don't worry - we won't talk back like other kids do and we will be a lot more grateful!!
Must Haves:
- You will have a car and be able to drive.
- Ideally you will have experience, and raising a family and cooking & caring for them counts as experience!
- References welcome - you should have some people that love you that can vouch for you.
- You'll be relatively quiet and not want to chat all day as we are pretty introverted and shy and not great at small talk. I'm generally home during the day as I work from home.
- You will be self-employed and invoice us on a monthly basis (this means you are responsible for your own taxes and will not get benefits from us).
- Your schedule can be flexible around anything else you've got going on in your life. As long as we generally know when you are coming (so we aren't wandering about in our underwear) and you leave us enough food to survive until your next visit we will be happy. Week days only and before 5PM please so we can have alone time when my husband comes home ;)
